Advantage Partners (“AP”) is pleased to announce that Rahul Bhargava will join AP as Partner and Co-Head of Asia. Rahul was previously the Head of SE Asia at ADV Partners, a pan-Asian private equity firm, and prior to that spent five years at KKR & Co. in Singapore. Rahul will formally join AP on December 1, 2022 and will be based in AP’s Singapore office.

Rahul brings a wealth of experience in private equity, including more than 20 years of investment across the region. Rahul has led investments in SE Asia and India, and completed 13 transactions, representing total cumulative invested capital of over $880 million.

Rahul will work closely with Emmett Thomas, current Head of Asia, to co-head the Asia Fund and its operations in the region. The Asia Fund pursues investments in middle-market private equity buyout opportunities in SE Asia and Greater China with Japan-related themes. The strategy has executed 13 investments across the region including in Mainland China, Taiwan, Malaysia, Thailand, Vietnam and the Philippines. With strong economic growth and the continued development of private equity markets in SE Asia, AP anticipates its activity in the SE Asia region to increase.

AP welcomes Rahul to the firm and looks forward to introducing him directly to investors, portfolio companies and other partners over the coming weeks.
