Mr. Kawai joined Advantage Partners in February 2021.Responsible for investments such as Energywith Co., Ltd. and SPIRAL Inc. and has supported portfolio companies across a wide range of industries, with a focus on the manufacturing industry. Has worked on growth strategy formulation, new businesses development, bolt-ons, organizational restructuring, and control system mangement.Prior to joining Advantage Partners, worked in the investment banking division of Citigroup Global Markets Japan Inc. for over 10 years and was involved with M&A advisory for companies in the manufacturing, real estate, and private equity industries, and financing advisory for equity, corporate bonds and securitization. Subsequently worked in the management strategy division of a listed company and was responsible for M&A, financing and IR. Has been involved with many award winning M&A and financing deals.B.A. in Economics from Waseda University.
