Advantage Partners is pleased to announce the successful final close of the Fund V Series Funds (the “Funds”) with total commitments of JPY60 billion on April 30, 2017. The Funds will be advised by over 30 investment professionals based out of Tokyo, Hong Kong, Singapore, and Shanghai.

The Funds will focus exclusively on mid-cap buyouts in Japan, which Advantage Partners views as the most attractive segment in the market. The Funds have completed investments in six companies, including Epoch Japan, a funeral services operator, ICI Ishii Sports, a specialty outdoor goods retailer, and Net Protections, an online payment services provider.

The Fund V Series Funds attracted a diverse set of existing and new investors including leading banks, asset managers, global funds of funds, and pension funds, which ultimately led to the Funds being oversubscribed.
